12th of June. That was when ICC organized the Charity Musical Night, us Interactor's second last event before the term 2008/09 ends. Though the whole event didn't exactly run perfectly without any hitches, I had a really good time. First, I was asked to be at KEC before 4 o'clock since I was to be one of the usherers. Was there with Yvonne at around 3.50, but when we realized that Interactors from other schools were wearing shirts and pants (as opposed to the both of us wearing our dresses all hyped up for the night), we were so embarrassed for being overdressed that we hid at a corridor where we could observe others but not vice versa. For that, we were late (silly, I know). When we finally mastered enough courage to go to the event hall, I realized many people were actually already wearing their pretty clothes. Still, there wasn't any meeting as told, so we didn't miss out on anything. We ended up waiting for another hour doing nothing but whining about our stomach grumbling and us needing food and the buffet not being laid out for us yet. We went out to buy fries, nuggets and drinks from McD's and KFC at JJ, brought them back to KEC, were told by the guard that outside food was not allowed into the club, were told by the guard that we could sneak in our food by stuffing them into my bag, succeeded in bringing the food to the hall to rescue the starving girls, and just when we finished eating our food, the waiters came in to fill the buffet table. -_-
Event started late. We had to endure quite a number of speeches. Then dishes were brought to the tables for the guests. The food looked quite good, but since I was too stingy and poor to pay for a place at the table, I had to sit on one of the chairs arranged at the back of the hall for performers and usherers and eat the not-as-appealing food from the buffet. Performances followed; some were great, others not so. Yvonne and I got high cheering for the performers, especially when RZ girls were performing, because whether you were willing to admit it or not, RZ girls rocked the show. LOL. You might think it was narcissistic of me to say that, but no, I'm just like a family member who would give my family my full support. But that does not mean I was being biased too. Because we simply rock. Okay, I will just stop here before all the self-praising go full-blown. Heh Heh.
The ex-cos were introduced to the crowd.
The lovely sisters: Parveen and Surrinder
