We really got ripped off!

If you have read my previous post, you would have known about my possibly being conned by a conman/woman I call Spike. Turns out, I really have been conned. I forgot to mention that I have seen Vivian and Su May at McDonald's on the same day. They have been sitting at another table. Vivian says that Spike has approached them too, but the story told to them is apparently different from the one I have heard. My other friend, Shaera and her group of friends (also my friends), have also been approached; different time, same place and who knows by the same person or not. None of them really think that all these have been for real.

So, if my friends have been approached at a different time, it has to mean that that Spike (if she...or he is the same person. Really, can this confusion about Spike's gender ever be cleared?) frequents McDonald's to con people, isn't it? That Spike has got some guts, lying to trusting and kind generous people who think they are giving to a good cause. I hope she gets caught one day. I used to pride myself in being a trusting person. Why? Because a person who is suspicious about everything in life and doubts everything everyone and anyone says is a pain in the butt to live with. Trusting people create a conducive environment to live in and in my opinion, are more liked by society. Well, more liked by con people too. And they say con people are really good at seizing people up. Darn.

Well, I choose not to hold a grudge on Spike. At least she has only cheated me off my ten ringgit. Many people have spent way more for being too trusting. Ever heard of people getting themselves trapped in those scratch-and-win scams or received phone calls saying they are the lucky winner of a 3 days 2 nights stay at some 5-star hotel only to end up paying a huge sum to claim their prizes which are usually worth way less than what they have paid? I still laugh at the silliness of such victims.
